Dear Parents and Students:
I am excited to offer you an additional method of communication with our school faculty and staff through this ASPIRA - Haugan website.  This will help establish and maintain communication with you in order to serve you and your children to the best extent possible.  Our goal is to be available to help address your needs.  

During academic year 2011-2012, we will continue to have the opportunity to service and support our school community and focus on providing a variety of resources to help students succeed academically.  All members of our faculty and staff are prepared to provide all students with the academic skills necessary for long term success.  Please feel free to ask us for assistance or guidance anytime.  We are here to serve you.

ASPIRA Charter School - Haugan Middle Campus is one of three ASPIRA campuses located in the diverse Albany Park community. Our school offers core academic subjects as well as a variety of enrichment courses designed to enhance the daily curriculum.  The school’s mission is to provide a high-quality education that fosters student development and leadership in a safe environment. Using a project-based learning methodology, the school enables students to acquire knowledge and skills in the areas of technology, math and science. The goal is to prepare students for high school college. ASPIRA Haugan offers students many opportunities to excel through small class sizes, a curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking skills as well as the ability to make real-world connections, and access to technology, which allows students to achieve mastery of various computer applications. Students may also participate in clubs and after school programs designed to enhance their leadership, reading, and math skills.  The school also offers students the opportunity to participate in after school sports through its athletics department and offers girls volleyball, boys volleyball, girls basketball, boys basketball, girls soccer, boys soccer, track, co-ed football and co-ed golf.
