At AHMS, we believe that education is the key to unlocking endless possibilities for our students. With over eleven (11) organized clubs and sports teams, there are plenty of opportunities for students to explore their passions and interests beyond the classroom.
But it’s not just about the students; we value the active involvement of parents in their children’s educational journey. We offer a plethora of opportunities for parent engagement, ensuring that families feel a part of our vibrant school community.
We understand that a well-rounded education goes beyond academics, which is why we provide overall family support services and social emotional development support through partnerships with Rincon Family Services and other esteemed partners.
Our approach to education is holistic, focusing on nurturing the whole individual and preparing our students for success in high school and beyond. We take pride in instilling leadership qualities in our students, empowering them to become confident and responsible individuals.

Aspira Haugan Middle School is a public contract charter school operated in partnership with the Chicago Public Schools by Aspira of Illinois; a community organization founded in 1961 with over 50 years of service to our community. ASPIRA has experience creating and implementing informal education programs that build self-esteem, cultural awareness, and leadership skills.
Our Vision is for all youth to have a seamless educational experience and be poised to make a difference anywhere in the world.
